South Indian Cinema is the new future of the big screen in India. The way they are exploring things in the industry is beloved by the audience all over the country. Tollywood has established a distinct identity as an evolving industry that is constantly growing and deteriorating.
On the other hand, Bollywood has garnered a huge amount of audience internationally and now is getting beaten brutally by the audience as they didn’t know. Actors who have already been recognized as superstars in the Bollywood industry are seen promoting their children, whether they have skills or not. The boycott Bollywood trend started, and behind this trend, one of the main reasons was to launch their star kids in the industry.
Fact No. 1
Content: The content which is being prepared by the south industry is always rock as it was. The content of Tollywood is always being promoted and loved by the audience. People from the southern industry always come up with new and fresh content.
Whereas, if we talk about Bollywood, Hindi Cinema was at its peak in the 1990s and early twenties, but now a deceiving number of audiences and fans of Bollywood are wondering why their performance at the international level has declined.
Dynastical Cycle: A dynastical cycle means actors who have already been recognized as superstars in the Bollywood industry are seen promoting their children, whether they have skills or not. The boycott Bollywood trend started, and behind this trend, one of the main reasons was to launch their star kids in the industry.
Whereas the Southern industry’s stars promote their children, their children have good acting skills. For example, Kamal Hasan’s daughter, Shruti Haasan, who is not famous for her Tollywood career, has made her career in Bollywood also.
Fact No. 3
Remake Music and Movies: There is no doubt that we referred to Tollywood as a hotbed of creativity. Whether people like their concept or not, they do not copy or remake the movies.
On the other hand, if we talk about Bollywood, then there is nothing left to remake the content of the movie. The concept was picked from Tamil and Telugu cinema and then launched with the same idea by using beautiful faces.
The same goes for that song. If we talk about the old Bollywood songs, which were released during the ’90s, they are being remade by young singers. People do not like this process, which is continuously running in the same way. People expect more from Bollywood than what they get, but Bollywood falls short.

Fact No. 4
Business & Art Oriented: South Indian cinema was motivated by artistic goals when it was created. They don’t only work to create profit and money. They always take public support along with them. Actors in the South treated their fans as if they were God. Their so-called humble features and nature attracted the people of the southern area of India the most. South Indian cinema is art-oriented, which focuses more on its content.
Whereas, Bollywood mainly focuses on the perspective of business. They only want to create more and more benefits, whatever they release. They are only focused on earning more and more money or garnering a positive image in the eyes of the audience. It would be beneficial to the industry if they began focusing on the artistic.
Fact No. 5
Religious Factor: Religion divides the majority of people in North India. For the past seventy-eight years, communal disputes have been spreading like fire in society. And now these communal issues have also entered Bollywood. As we can see, Boycott Khan was trending all over the internet a few months back.
If we talk about the southern industry, then people there are not divided into religions. At most, they belong to one category, which unites them. They support all of their actors and celebrities because, in return, they receive the same.

Film Craze Among Audiences: There is a constant film craze among South Indian audiences. Whenever a new Tollywood film is released, a crowd of lakhs gathers to watch the premiere. In the South, industry people and actors treated each other as God.
Not only these facts, but many other factors support the Southern industry. As they use VFX mostly in their movies, which makes them more interesting to watch, Bollywood made its first movie in which they used VFX, Bharmastra, which was released in 2022. However, South Industry promotes women’s empowerment and gives them a high place in movies. For example, Bahubali and K.G.F.
