Poker machines in pubs and clubs across New South Wales will soon be able to scan the faces of players.
The Daily Telegraph reports facial recognition technology will be used to help keep problem gamblers away from the machines.
Hotel staff will be alerted to anyone attempting to enter the gaming room if they have signed up for the state’s Multi-Venue Self-Exclusion Program.
